The transition between the two domains is done using analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters. Input range: 0 V to V REF, V REF: 2.4 V to 5. The world is analog, but signal processing nowadays is digital.Low power: 9.75 mW 2 MSPS (V DD only) and 14 mW at 2 MSPS (total).Operating temperature: -40☌ to +125☌ (JT).
The reference voltage is applied externally and can be set independently of the supply voltage. The devices consume only 14 mW at 2 MSPS with a minimum of 75 MHz sCk rate in turbo mode and achieves ☑.0 LSB INL maximum, no missing codes at 16-bits with 93 dB SNR. The AD4000/AD4001/AD4003/AD4004/AD4005 operate from a 1.8 V supply and samples an analog input (IN+) between 0 V to V REF with respect to a ground sense (IN-) with V REF ranging from 2.4 V to 5.1 V.

The low serial peripheral interface (SPI) clock rate requirement reduces the digital input/output power consumption, broadens processor options, and simplifies the task of sending data across digital isolation. The input span compression feature enables the ADC driver amplifier and the ADC to operate off common supply rails without the need for a negative supply while preserving the full ADC code range. The high-Z mode, coupled with a long acquisition phase, eliminates the need for a dedicated high-power, high-speed ADC driver, thus broadening the range of low-power precision amplifiers that can drive this ADC directly while still achieving optimum performance.
The AD4000 incorporates ease of use features that lower the signal chain power, reduce signal chain complexity, and enable higher channel density. The Digital To Analog Audio converter box takes your coaxial/optical (S/PDIF or TOSLink) digital audio source (two-channel audio) and converts it to standard analog left/right audio, available for connection to an external device such as an amplifier or recording deck via standard RCA-style jacks.
ADI’s AD4000/AD4001/AD4003/AD4004/AD4005 are low-noise, low-power, high-speed, 16-bit, 2 MSPS, precision successive approximation register ADCs. Digital Audio converted to Analog Stereo Audio.
